**Hi Everyone,**

Welcome to my first newsletter! I’m excited to share what I’ve been working on and to keep you updated every three weeks.

**About Me:**

My name is Shannon Gregory Hearn, and I’m the Operations Director at KENW-FM in Portales, New Mexico. Besides managing radio operations, I’m passionate about writing fiction, science fiction, and fandom stories, which you might have seen on Fanfiction.net and Archive of Our Own. I also hold two bachelor’s degrees in English and History and a Master’s Degree in Communications from Eastern New Mexico University.

**Science Fiction Novel:**

I’m thrilled to be making progress on my latest science fiction novel. The protagonist, Olwen, navigates life in a mysterious settlement, and I’ve just wrapped up the first draft of a major plot twist. Here’s a sneak peek:

“Olwen’s eyes widened as the holographic map shifted, revealing pathways unknown to the settlers. ‘We’ve only just begun to understand this place,’ Summer whispered.”
